Social media platforms, like Facebook, are now, and will likely continue to be, a vital part of online networking, marketing and sales. Notwithstanding, it is premature to declare email dead! As a communications and marketing tool, email will remain a central element in the way business gets its electronic message out.

In fact, email is an effective way to promote one’s social media presence. Every email that leaves your office should have a digital signature that not only provides contact information, but also includes a call to action and reference to your social media presence. It may also be used to promote your clients and associates!

Your digital signature should include at least:
1. business title
2. Telephone
3. Fax
4. Website
5. Logo
6. Links to your social media presence
7.Call to action
8. Disclaimer
a. I deliberately omitted name. This is because I may write my name differently. e.g. John, John Lisle, John L. Lisle
b. You should have a different digital signature for each position you hold.
